A 27-year-old man died and two women were wounded in a shooting Tuesday night in Wilmington, Delaware, according to reports from several Philadelphia-area outlets.

6abc Action News reported that the gunfire broke out shortly before 9 p.m. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the station said, citing authorities. His name had not been made public, NBC10 reported.

The two other victims, a 31-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman, were both listed in stable condition, according to 6abc and NBC10. NBC10 reported that the 31-year-old was taken to a hospital, while the 21-year-old arrived at a hospital on her own with a gunshot wound.

Reports differed slightly on the exact location. CBS Philadelphia placed the shooting near 23rd and Jessup streets, while 6abc said it happened near 24th and Jessup streets. NBC10 described the scene as the 2300 block of Jessup Street.

NBC10 said its news helicopter flew over the area at about 10 p.m. and observed evidence markers placed across the middle of the street as officers continued to investigate.

As of NBC10's report, police had not announced any arrests or identified a motive.

The location has drawn attention before. According to 6abc, it is the same intersection where police shot and killed 19-year-old Kadir Skinner in June. The station reported that an investigation into the officers' use of force in that case is still underway. No outlet reported any connection between the two incidents.

Wilmington police are asking anyone with information about Tuesday's shooting to come forward. According to NBC10, tips can be directed to Detective Brendan Shea at 302-576-3649, or submitted to Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or through the organization's website, delawarecrimestoppers.com.

CBS Philadelphia also reported that city police are investigating the shooting, which it described as deadly. Further details, including the identity of the man who died and the circumstances leading up to the gunfire, had not been released at the time of the reports.
