True News is free to read. You may share links to our stories and quote short passages with credit and a link back. Please don't republish whole stories without permission.

Sharing a story or writing for us

When you submit a story, a tip, a photo or an article, you confirm that it is your own work or that you have the right to share it, and that it is true to the best of your knowledge. You give True News permission to edit, publish and share it on this site, in the briefing and on our social media accounts, with your byline. Every submission is screened and reviewed by a human editor, who may decline or edit it. Don't submit anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful or private information about other people.

Accuracy

We work to get every story right and cite our sources. Campaign-finance, weather and other figures come from the public agencies that publish them and may change after they publish. If you find an error, tell the editor through Share a story and we will review it.

Social media

True News posts its own stories and promotions to its own accounts on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. We connect only our own accounts and never post on anyone else's behalf.
