The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has published its weekly roundup of job opportunities for veterans for the week of Nov. 2, 2026. The department said the roundup includes a national virtual hiring event on Nov. 4.

According to the VA, its Veteran Readiness and Employment program's Salute & Recruit virtual hiring event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern time. It is open to veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses. The department said dozens of federal, defense industry, private-sector and nonprofit employers will take part, hiring for positions nationwide.

The post lists outside job openings in more than 20 states and Washington, D.C., including retail, engineering, security, health care and technology roles. It also lists scholarship and training programs. The VA noted that most listings close seven to 30 days after posting. It said sharing non-VA information does not mean the department endorses those employers, and it advised veterans to verify details with each organization.

The department also highlighted openings within the VA itself. It cited more than 500 opportunities each in nursing and physician roles and more than 300 positions open to veterans. Featured VA jobs are located in cities including Augusta, Georgia; Cleveland; and Richmond, Virginia. The VA also pointed to roles such as peer specialist and VA police officer, saying about 90% of its federal law enforcement officers have a military background.
