VA publishes list of 2026 Veterans Day discounts and free offers
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has published a list of discounts, free meals and other offers that businesses and organizations plan to make available to veterans for Veterans Day, which falls on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026. According to the VA, the list was verified as of Oct. 22 and will be updated as more nationally available offers become known.
The VA said the offers span restaurants, retail and grocery stores, personal care, attractions and car care. Listed restaurant offers include free meals or entrées for veterans and active-duty service members on Nov. 11 at chains such as Applebee's, Chili's, Denny's and Red Lobster, often for dine-in only and with proof of service. Retailers including Kohl's, Publix and Walgreens are listed as offering percentage discounts, and Great Clips is listed as offering free haircuts.
The department also listed free or reduced admission at sites including Mount Vernon, Colonial Williamsburg and the National WWI Museum and Memorial. According to the VA, the National Park Service will offer free entry to all visitors on Nov. 11.
The VA said offers are subject to change, may not be available in all locations, and should be verified with the organization offering them. The department said sharing the information does not constitute an endorsement of any products or services.
