The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has published its weekly list of job openings for veterans for the week of Oct. 26, 2026, according to a post from the department's Veterans Experience Office. The VA said it receives job announcements each week from employers and employment websites seeking to hire veterans. This week's external listings include positions in states including Arizona, California, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Texas and Virginia, as well as remote roles. Employers named include Home Depot, Boeing, Texas Instruments and Military Sealift Command. The VA said most listings close seven to 30 days after posting and that sharing non-VA information does not constitute an endorsement. The post also highlights Vet the Vote, a national campaign recruiting veterans and military family members as election poll workers. According to the VA, selected poll workers can make an average of $150 a day, though amounts vary by county. The department also listed openings at VA facilities, including a diagnostic radiologist in Fayetteville, N.C., and a social worker in Marshfield, Mo., along with Veterans Canteen Service jobs. The VA said it currently has more than 500 nurse openings and more than 500 physician openings. Upcoming events listed include a Bob Woodruff Foundation employment symposium in New York on Nov. 5.
