A 54-year-old employee of a Madill, Oklahoma, manufacturing company died Wednesday morning after falling while standing on the bed of a semitrailer, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, as reported by KXII and distributed by Gray News.

Troopers identified the man as Jaime Bell of Madill. He worked at J&I Manufacturing, the patrol said, according to the report carried by Live 5 News, 1011 Now, Dakota News Now and Cleveland 19.

According to the Highway Patrol's account, Bell was on the trailer bed while pipe was being moved from the semitrailer to a forklift. The driver of the semitrailer then pulled the truck forward, the agency said, and Bell lost his footing and fell.

Bell struck his head on the trailer and died from his injuries, the patrol reported.

Authorities did not release further details about the incident, according to the report. The driver was not identified, and the account did not say whether any other workers were injured, whether an investigation is underway or whether any citations or charges are being considered.

The Highway Patrol did not specify the exact location of the accident beyond identifying it as a workplace incident involving the company's employee.

J&I Manufacturing builds truck beds and truck bodies used in farming, ranching and the oil industry, according to the company's website as cited in the report. The company also sells processed steel products and supplies for agricultural and ranching customers, the website says.

Madill is a small city in southern Oklahoma, near the Texas border.

All four outlets published the same story from KXII, a Gray Media station, and no outlet reported information that differed from the others. The company had not publicly commented in the reports available to True News.
