VA says its Careers Talent Community has reached more than 8,000 job seekers
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs said its VA Careers Talent Community has connected more than 8,000 job seekers with information about VA careers, locations and opportunities since the program launched earlier this year. In an October 16, 2026 post, the department said people join by completing an online interest form. According to VA, the form asks about career experience. Clinical professionals are asked whether they have interned or trained at a VA facility and about their professional status. Non-clinical professionals are asked about their current field and expertise. The form also asks about interest in a VA career, geographic preferences and which employment benefits matter to applicants. VA said it has more than 1,300 locations across the country and in some territories. The department listed employee benefits including health insurance plans, scholarships and loan repayment programs, and retirement accounts. Once members complete the form, VA said, they receive regular email updates about working at the department, VA-exclusive programs and resources for the hiring process, including employee stories and application advice. The department said the information it sends is aligned with members' skills, interests and preferences. VA said more information is available on its VA Careers website.
